2025 Wellness Trends: Water on Their-Mind?
Happy, Splashy January to You All!
Who has water on their mind when thinking wellness?
Dear Friends,
As we begin 2025, I’m excited to share insights and practices rooted in water wellness, hydration education, and living a Blue Mind lifestyle. On a recent inland trip to India, I was reminded how much I need to be near happy, healthy water to feel like the best version of myself.
This newsletter is a space to reconnect with the essentials: the balance that comes from remembering that we are not separate from nature. Wellness trends focusing on gut health, hormonal balancing, mitochondrial health, and circadian rhythm resets reflect a deeper truth: we are biological beings who thrive when aligned with the rhythms of the natural world.
I’ve been reading about “nature connectedness” and am more convinced than ever that it’s not about connecting with nature but understanding that we are nature. We are 99% water by molecular count. We are bodies of water, just like lakes, rivers, and oceans.
This week, I read Miles Richardson’s Nature Connectedness Blog. He states, “Rather than working towards a changed vision in how we think and feel, we constantly treat symptoms.” I couldn’t agree more—it’s time to shift the narrative.
Self-care is water care.
There’s nothing selfish about prioritizing self-care. If we are 99% water and treat the water in our cells better, all water benefits. Yet, who has water on their mind when they think wellness?
As we explore 2025 wellness trends, it’s clear that the focus is shifting toward simplified and intuitive routines. Self-care is no longer about bubble baths or endless products. Instead, wellness is about tuning into our natural rhythms to feel good again.
Three of the Six Senses 2025 Wellness Trends stand out.
Wearables are out & spiritual travel is in:
This trend essentially captures the Blue Mind lifestyle, that we love; nature knows best. I believe, we will hear more about nature retreats (I call them Water Retreats) in the future. Blue Mind is a term coined by marine biologist Wallace J. Nichols, describing the soothing state we experience when connected with water. Science confirms what many of us feel instinctively: water calms the mind, inspires creativity, and fosters connection.
SOS: Save Our Sleep.
Sleep tourism is on the rise. But why do you have to go on holiday to address problematic sleep patterns?
Since my Water Retreat Sabbatical (2023/ 2024), I hold two things sacred: sleep and water. Without them, everything else unravels. Here’s my new my mantra:
Structure your life around sleep, not your sleep around your commitments.
My personal Northern Hemisphere Winter target sleep window is 9 PM to 6 AM. It doesn’t always work, but thinking about it during the day when I commit or don’t commit to activities, meetings etc, makes a difference. Quality sleep powers everything else in our day.
If you start with your sleep window and work backward, you’ll notice a shift in how you approach your agenda and your evenings.
Simplifying your routine will amplify your wellness.
London Wellness Trend “Togetherness”: The Loneliness Antidote
Sauna Social Clubs are opening up in London and New York City. In an era of increasing loneliness, finding genuine connection has become more important than ever. Group sauna and ice bath sessions, which blend longevity-enhancing therapies like hot and cold immersion with the power of shared experience are on the rise. This is water wellness.
Sauna and EZ Water
Sauna sessions aren’t just good for connection—they’re good for your cellular water. EZ water, or exclusion zone water, is a unique type of water in your cells that exists in a state between solid and liquid. This coherent water powers your mitochondria, enabling your cells to produce energy, fight aging, and recover faster. Heat and infrared light from sauna sessions stimulate EZ water production in your cells, enhancing your body’s resilience and vitality.
Wellness is about simplifying what we consume, how we care for ourselves, and how we tune in to our cellular water and nature’s rhythm.
Simplify to Amplify!
Yours, Clouds
